Series Finale

We made it to the end of our “Living the Fruit of the Spirit” series! If you missed a week, or are brand new to the blog (welcome!), each part of the series is written so that you can jump in at any point. Feel free to work your way forwards or backwards. When we introduced the series, we set three learning outcomes. We hope that at this point, you are able to (1) define the fruit of the Spirit in your own terms, (2) apply each fruitful attribute to a relationship or area of your life that you would like to improve, and (3) identify your “core fruit.”

We hope you have learned as much as us and we want to end the series with some of our own takeaways:

  • All of the characteristics of a fruitful Spirit depend on each other.

  • Living the Fruit of the Spirit is not just about “self-improvement”, it is also about improving relationships with others. We are meant to be and live in community.

  • Living the fruit of the Spirit is living the Christian life.

  • When we live by the fruit of the Spirit, our lives are transformed

  • Throughout the series, we have referenced verses from across the Bible. We believe that Romans 12 in particular is a great place to dive deeper into what it really looks like to live by the fruit of the Spirit. This chapter touches on many, if not all, of the attributes of a fruitful Spirit.

We want to end the series with a challenge related to the nine attributes of a fruitful Spirit as described in Galatians 5:22-23. We have created a fill-in-the-blank list to help you live more by the fruit of the Spirit by identifying who or what area of your life could use more of each attribute. For example, maybe your spouse could use more of your love, your job could use more of your patience, or your neighbor could use more of your kindness.

We are excited to announce that we have created the list as our very first FREE digital download! Go to: https://www.pentopapher.com/downloads. Then just download, brainstorm, and fill-in-the-blank!

We will also be promoting the list on social media where we will encourage you to screenshot the list from our IG Story, fill in your responses, then share it back (if you feel comfortable) for accountability!

Go and bear fruit
