Who We Are

Jourdan

I’m a wife and a pet mom. I’m straightedge, a recovering perfectionist, a self-diagnosed hypochondriac (isn’t that ironic?), and a believer in the Oxford comma. It’s probably a good time to warn you that I’m also a lover of puns.

Nohemi

I have unmanageable curly/fizzy hair which says a lot about me already. But most importantly I’m also a wife, a pet mom to a miniature schnauzer and a senior cat. I’m a lasagna connoisseur (so Garfield move over), an unlicensed professional shopper as long as it’s on sale and this last one I hate to admit but I’m notoriously late to everything which is a habit I am trying to break but I seem to be late on that too.

Together, we are Pen to Papher!

One day, when Jourdan’s job was coming to an end and Nohemi was feeling unsatisfied with hers, we found ourselves expecting everything from our jobs. We expected it to be fulfilling, be a place to meet friends, and on top of all that, pay the bills. We began to think, are we expecting too much? What if our purpose didn’t have to be found in our career? Could we have a job…and a purpose too? We thought it was time to explore what that would look like, so we put pen to paper and here we are.

When pen is put to paper, it usually means something is happening; there’s an idea in the making, a task that needs to be done, or a message that needs to be shared. Writing things down creates mental space to cope with whatever we are faced with in the moment. We hope that our content does the same thing by providing a moment of clarity in the fog of everyday life. Our mission is to create an online ministry for women to build community and find purpose in the everyday. Welcome to the Pen to Papher sisterhood! We are so grateful to have you here.
